What is a TIC
Citation Index (or IC) - accepted in the scientific measure of "significance" of the works of a scientist. Index value determined by the number of references to this work (or name) in other sources. However, to really accurately determine the significance of scientific papers is not only the number of links to them, but the quality of these links. Thus, the work can refer reputable academic publication, a popular entertainment magazine or brochure. The significance of such links is different.
Our thematic index of citing (TIC) defines 'authority' of Internet resources, taking into account the qualitative characteristics of the references to them from other sites. This qualitative description we call the "weight" of the link. Calculated it on a specially developed algorithm. Plays an important role thematic proximity of the resource and reference it sites. By itself, the number of links to resources also affects the value of its particles, but TCI is determined not by the number of links, and the sum of their weights.
TCI as a means of determining the credibility of the resource is designed to ensure the relevance of the location of resources in the following categories catalog Yandex. TCI is not purely quantitative characteristic, so we show some values are rounded to help navigate the "significance" ('authority') resources in each area (topic).
The idea is simple citation index - usually the people who create a website, with attention and responsibility related to its contents, as well as to the content of what they refer to and thus recommend to their visitors. Our thematic index considers the number of links to your site from other sites, giving those links a different "weight" (ie value) depending on the credibility of the referring site.
